For this project we were asked to take a picture a day for a week. This was a fun experience, but at times I wondered what I would take a picture of that didn't just look like I pulled out my camera and shoot something that wasn't that great or didn't have a good relation to my day. Although I felt a little pressure with that thought floating in my mind, I felt like I did a good job at accomplishing the task at hand and captured some images that remind me of things I did and things I love. Tuesday we made caramel apples at a stake party. In this picture I duplicated the layer a couple times adding different filters and then overlayed a gradient map. I love the ooieness of the caramel you can see and the juiciness of the apple. Wednesday is my temple day so I found it fitting to take a picture of the temple. I go to the temple in the morning, but didn't have time to take the picture till later that night, hence the dark sky. I like to take different views or perspectives of the Temple. I think we all still know what it is and the greatness of that Holy place, even if it isn't a full view of the Temple. Thursday I had a yummy breakfast burrito dinner at my friends house and as he was walking me home I noticed the sky changing different colors. I went inside and grabbed my camera a couple minutes later and ran out to take pictures. The sky was changing so quickly, but this was one of the images I loved the most. I didn't adjust it at all. Friday, I captivated the image of carving a pumpkin. I love the texture that you can see on the pumpkin as well. I did the same edit that I did for the picture of the caramel apple to this picture as well. Saturday, we spent the evening playing games. Blokus is one of my favorites! I dominated, not to mention, but I thought this was a fun picture. I love playing games so it is a good memory for me. Sunday, once again the sky was amazing. It changed from an orange state to pinks and purples pretty quickly. To the east there was a rainbow. I thought it was so pretty and such a fun reminder of our Heavenly Fathers love for us! Monday for FHE we went to TwizlBerry. I took this picture of my roommates ice cream that looked so tasty. I slightly adjusted the levels and curves.

  2. Kimber, excellent shot of the Temple. I think it's neat because it is an unexpected composition. The detail of the step like shapes and the lighting make it really neat. The darkness of the sky makes the contrast also very appealing. Great job!
